An Armand Marseille bisque-headed doll with composition body, arms and legs, the head with sleep eyes and open mouth, inscribed verso "Germany 995A9M" together with a Japanese part tea service CONDITION REPORTS Doll is approximately 49 cm in height. Hair appears to be replacement, the eyelids have chipping to the paintwork, there are surface scratches all over. There is chipping to the pantwork on the body and the extremeities especially to the fingers and feet. One foot appears to have been patched where it has been broken, generally in need of a clean, has general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include surface scratches, minor chips etc - see images for further details. The tea set - there are five tea cups, one of which has a large chip and hairline crack. Four saucers, two of which have large chips. Four tea plates, one which has two large chips and hairline cracks. All items have general wear and tear to include surface scratching, light chips etc.
A Royal Doulton "Tennyson" pattern dinner service (approx 157 pieces) CONDITION REPORTS Please note does not include Royal Doulton "Sarah" part tea service. This is now in Lot 420. Over all condition good though one plate with scratching to the surface glaze otherwise with surface made up of pieces with puce mark ("H5249") dated 1996 and the black mark also dated 1996. Basically, thirteen place settings including large plates, medium plates, small plates, large bowls, smaller bowls, breakfast type bowls, tea cups and saucers, coffee cans and saucers, together with tea pot, coffee pot, cream and milk jugs, two sugar or slop bowls two gravy boats and stands and one vegetable tureen, cover and stand and two oval serving dishes
A Royal Crown Derby tea service, comprising 2 large serving plates, 12 plates, 12 saucers, 12 cups and bowl (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: All pieces are in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. We can see no hairline cracks in any of the items. There is some rubbing to the gilding and some of the pieces do have surface scratches particularly to the centres of both plates and saucers. There is no significant crazing and no real issues.
A Carltonware coffee service, comprising teapot, sugar basin, milk jug, six cups and six saucers. CONDITION REPORT: All pieces with the exception of the coffee pot are in extremely good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The gilding is very good to all interiors and also to the edges. The coffee pot has no damage, no repairs and no restoration. It is however stained inside and crazed. It is perfectly serviceable. Please note catalogue description says tea set it is a coffee service.
A late Victorian green white and gilt tea set, Rockingham style and with foliate pattern, comprising teapot, sucrier, milk jug, 2 plates, 10 cups, 12 plates, 12 saucers. CONDITION REPORT: All pieces in this lot appear to be in very good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. We cannot see any hairline cracks in any of the pieces. There is some very minor rubbing to the gilding and very minor losses to the paintwork on some of the pieces but none of this in our opinion is significant.
Two late 18th/early 19th century Chinese porcelain tea cups and saucers, polychrome, decorated with figures and animals (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both saucers are in good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There is some rubbing to the gilding particularly on the rim of one saucer. One cup has a 2 cm hairline crack running from the top lip. This is visible on both sides of the piece. There is a tiny chip at the very top of this crack. The second cup has a top edge chip running for approximately 4 mm.
Six late 19th century Meissen cups and saucers, polychrome, with crossed swords mark to base. CONDITION REPORT: All pieces have rubbing to the gilding. All are slightly worn at the foot rim. One cup has a very small top edge chip. Each piece has small losses to the paintwork and they are all somewhat dirty. Other than the chip however there is no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
An Art Deco Taylor & Kent floral patterned tea set, comprising teapot, sugar basin, milk jug, 6 cups, 6 saucers, 6 plates and sandwich plate. CONDITION REPORT: Other than minor tea staining to the interior of the teapot this lot is in very good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. There are no hairline cracks and the gilding and paintwork are in generally very good.
Two 19th century part tea sets, green, white and gilt and beige, white and gilt. CONDITION REPORT: The gilding on the green tea set is significantly rubbed. Most pieces are also discoloured through use. They are beginning to brown. 7 of the coffee cups have hairline cracks. 2 of the 7 have repaired handles. 3 of the taller tea cups have hairline cracks. 2 of the saucers are cracked. The sucrier has a small hairline crack to the bottom section. 1 sandwich plate has a hairline crack. The cream jug has a hairline crack has does the sugar basin. The grey and gilt tea set gilding is in much better condition. 6 cups have staining and browning. 1 of the 6 has a hairline crack. The milk jug is slightly browned. The remaining pieces are all in generally good condition with no damage, no repairs and no restoration.
Grouping of Four (4) 17th Century Persian Blue and White Glazed Ceramic Saucers and Cup. Depicts various floral motif on all items. Cup and one saucer is signed. Provenance: acquired from David Kahlili, London before 1982. Chips to rim, discoloration and wear from age on all items otherwise good condition. Cup measures 2" H, largest saucer measures 6" Dia.
