SUSIE COOPER KESTREL DESIGN PART DINNER SET comprising two tureens, smaller tureen with saucer, set of three ashets, eight dinner plates, twelve side plates, seven soup bowls with eight saucers, with a selection of other pieces including toast rack, butter dish and condiments, painted in red, burnt orange and pale green 'Wedding band 479' pattern, with factory stamp circa 1933 - 34 handpainted '479' in red or leaping deer marks, largest ashet 40cm long CONDITION REPORT: Cream jug chipped at rim.
A quantity of small 19th century Canton porcelain Including a pair of small baluster vases with dragon form handles and decorated with courtly figures amongst calligraphy, four famille rose saucers, two matching tea bowls, a figugurally decorated tea bowl and saucer and a coffee can. The former 11.5 cm high. (Quantity) CONDITION REPORTS: Some chips and losses to vases, some cracks and chips throughout, coffee can handle repaired, general wear.
AYNSLEY SET. A set of Aynsley coffee cans & saucers (one cup missing), in silver Mappin & Webb holders. CONDITION REPORTS: The 6 saucers are in good condition, with no cracks or chips. one cup is in good condition, however the remaining four cups all have some very minor chips to the rims. All the silver mounts are in good condition with no splits. The case has some cuffs around the edges.
SHELLEY. A Shelley, fine bone china part tea service for 12 (lacks sugar bowl), in the Butter Yellow 'Pole Star' pattern. NOTE: In-house shipping not available for this lot due to size, weight or fragility. CONDITION REPORTS: All pieces are in good condition, except one of the saucers has a small flaking chip on the top edge.
THOUNE POTTERY. A Thoune Pottery coffee service & six small shaped plaques. Coffee pot 23cm, plaques 12cm diameter. CONDITION REPORTS: The teapot has a small, flaking glaze chip to the underneath of the spout and 4 small glaze chips to the outer edge of the foot rim, otherwise in generally good condition. The jug is in generally good condition, with 3 small glaze chips to the rim. The sugar bowl has a couple of small glaze chips to the rim, otherwise in good condition. 7 cups are in generally good condition, with some small glaze chips to the rims and foot rims, all handles would appear to be sound. 7 saucers - 2 saucers are cracked, the remaining 5 are generally good but with some very small glaze chips. The 5 side plates are generally good, however one plate has a 3cm firing fault from the rim which is noticeable on both sides.
SPODE COMMEMORATIVES. Two limited edition, Spode Maritime England plates & two limited edition covered cabinet cups & stands. (with certificates) CONDITION REPORTS: Both plate are in as-new condition, with no chips, cracks or rubbing to the gilding or the central image. Both cups, covers and saucers are in very good, undamaged condition. One cover, however has a slight rubbing to the gilded 'scales.'
CAUGHLEY ETC. A pair of Caughley gilt-spot tea bowls, c.1790, two English porcelain cups & saucers & and English porcelain sauce boat. CONDITION REPORTS: The cream jug is in generally good condition, there is a very small area on the outer edge which looks like a bruise, or flaking to the gilding. There is other rubbing to the gilding around the rim of the jug. Both tea bowls are in good condition with no cracks, chips or signs of restoration. However, on the inside of one of the bowls, there are firing/pitting issues to the gilding, approx 3/4cm. The cups and saucers have much ware to the gilt edge, one of the cups has a noticeable flaking chip on the outer edge of the front rim. Post and packing to a UK address would be approx. £26.
MEISSEN PORCELAIN. Four Meissen fruit decorated cups & saucers. CONDITION REPORTS: Each of the cups is in good, original condition. There are no cracks, chips or repairs. The gilding is not rubbed. The saucers are similarly undamaged, although the gilded foot ring in each saucer is rubbed to some degree. The gilding on the rim of each saucer is also rubbed on two saucers quite noticeable.
POTTERY TEA WARE. A collection of black decorated pottery tea ware, after the Classical. CONDITION REPORTS: One of the saucers has an impressed name/maker. All pieces have minor chips, in various sizes, there is damage to the finial of the teapot, with 3 further flaking chips to the edge of the lid, and chips to the end of the spout. One saucer has a chip to the edge. One of the cups has a flaking chip to the outer edge.
