A pair of Clarice Cliff Coral Firs pattern teacups and saucers, conical cups with filled in angular handles, hand painted pottery, each piece bears the factory back stamp Clarice Cliff Bizarre Condition: blemishes and minor paint loss to both cups & saucers. Overall cannot see any major cracks, chips, or restoration, the collection was made over time from the NEC “Antiques for Everyone Fair”, so all would have been vetted and of a standard.

The Asian artists and craftsmen adopted European models and combined them with Chinese and Japanese materials and decorative motifs of gilt reliefs and engravings on a lustrous lacquered surface. A FINE PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE EGGSHELL TEABOWLS AND SAUCERSYongzhengEach saucer very delicately enamelled at the centre of the interior with a dignitary seated on a barrel-shaped stool besides a table laden with scholar's objects, books, a basket of fruit and incense burner, attended by an elegant lady holding a bird toy and another with a fan, all within an elaborate coral-ground border richly gilt with six profile flowers in a continuous leafy meander, the tea bowls with similar smaller cartouches on the exterior on the same elaborate ground.
