Mosley (Seth Lister) Wild flowers 90 postcard size portraits of British wild flowers printed in colours in Mosley`s usual style captions party ms. and partly printed mounted in a leather album oblong 8vo [Huddersfield] [c.1920]. ***The work of SL Mosley 1848-1929 is not well documented. A recent pamphlet Seth Lister Mosley by Dorothy Harding Huddersfield 1986 does not mention his botanical work. Inserted in the album is correspondence between Peter Goodfellow and the Huddersfield Library which includes a list of Mosley`s works. This mentions Flowers among the Sheets of hand-coloured paintings and a partial Fauna and flora of the Colne and Home drainage includes a checklist of plants but no illustrations..

Henry Harris Brown was a portrait painter who studied art in Paris under Bouguereau and Tony Fleury. He painted many portraits in America and Canada.
