Bridgette James (British, 20th century), Rhododendron Grandiflorum with a Tortoiseshell Butterfly, signed "Bridgette James" lower right, watercolour, 27 x 21 cm, in a modern burr walnut veneer frame; with a pair of smaller watercolours of butterflies, both signed, 9 x 12.5 cm; and another of roses signed and dated "T. Knox 1885" (4) Note: Bridgette James was elected a member of the Society of Botanical Artists in 1993. She has since exhibited annually at Westminster Central Hall and at the Society of Wildlife Artists exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
