A Rockingham cabinet plate with anthemion and gadroon moulded border. Painted with an unusually large named botanical study, Scotch Thistle, Pheasants Eye. Printed puce mark and red script c1830-42, 23cm. Cf. Rockingham 1745-1842, Alwyn and Angela Cox, p. 221 and 279 for another plate from this service, again un gilded but red marked. Condition Report. A Rockingham breakfast plate with moulded sharks tooth and S-scroll border. Decorated with the Royal Botanical Plants and Flies pattern with a named specimen, Rose Camellia under a gilt chain link border, known to be pattern 695. Painted red script and impressed letter F, c1829, 24.75cm wide. Note; A service decorated in this pattern was supplied to Wentworth House, 8th August 1829. It contained 72 plates. It has been suggested that the impressed F could denote Fitzwilliam. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Some slight gilt wear only.

Early 19th century day or visitors book containing approximately two hundred plus pages decorated both sides with paintings, drawings, poetry, botanical illustration and including small embroideries from c.1720, Chinese pith paper paintings, hand coloured lithographs and cut paperwork, most signed and dated 1800's-1830's. Bookplate for Miss Nicola Anne Maxwell of Bath (d1832) and for Lieut. Colonel Campbell of Avisyard (Ayrshire). CONDITION REPORT: Pages are mostly very good though page edges one slightlty browned/stained. Covers very scuffed.
