William Absolon, Yarmouth - a set of three botanical shaped oval creamware dishes and a pair of plates with pierced basket work rims: all painted in green and sepia with botanical specimens, five named 'Mulbery Tree/Pomegranate Tree/Cretan Cistus and Carnation', the oval dishes signed 'WAbsolon yarm No25', circa 1790/1810, oval dishes 26 cm wide [minor chips], the plates 21 cm diameter [rim crack to each].*Biography. William Absolon was a decorator of glass and earthenware from The Ovens and no.25 Market Row, Yarmouth, Norfolk.

* ELSPETH HARRIGAN (SCOTTISH 1938 - 1999), NASTURTIUMS watercolour on paper, signed in pencil 33.5cm x 47.5cm Mounted, framed and under glass. Note: Elspeth Harrigan was a highly respected botanical artist who graduated from in 1960. Her numerous awards include Scottish Lady Artist Royal Horticultural Society Silver Medal in 1985 and 1988. Her husband was the artist James Harrigan and her daughter is Claire Harrigan RSW.
