An elegant Chinese Export white metal tea service, comprising: an oviform teapot with hinged cover by Wang Hing & Co. decorated in high relief with a design of a dragon and a phoenix, 24 cm long, hallmarks WH 90, together with a sugar bowl decorated with botanical designs, about 15 cm diameter and a cream jug decorated with birds, pine and fruit, 13 cm diameter, the last two also hallmarked. Qing Dynasty (3)Please note that teapot is 686.6 gm/sugar bowl is 312.1 gm/milk jug is 260.5 gm.  Some areas of deterioration or damage, including: areas of wear and/or polishing, and extremity bruising to mouth of milk jug; and bruising/bending to the spout extremity of the teapot. Joined the Department of Eduction at Bristol University where he was responsible for overseas students. Wrote the standard senior biology books published by Nelson, for use in West African schools, also edited the Physics and Chemistry editions. Worked and travelled extensively for the British Council during the 1960s doing educational tours to the West Indies, the Far East and Africa: Nigeria, Kenya and Somalia amongst others.
