Scotland- Carron Company May 1797 framed 5 Shilling note. The famous iron company was the second establishment to issue notes in Scotland to meet the demand of the Napoleonic wars. Copper plate engraved by Kirkwood & Son with company arms in oval vignette. Extremely scarce with less than 50 examples known!
