A Bavarian Pioneer Reservist`s pickelhaube, black leather skull, the plate of WM incorporating brass reservist cross, WM spike and mounts, national and state rosettes, the inside of the skull stamped "Muller & Sprung Dresden" and "1915", the rear plate stamped "103R" and with traces of owner`s name. GC (peak rim and chinstrap replaced, some crazing). Plate 7
A silver mounted Doulton pottery presentation or commemorative mug of the Loyal Suffolk Hussars, silver rim HM B & S Ltd B`ham 1915, and middle band engraved with regimental badge and "Trooper E R Taylor, Woodbridge & Leiston. November 11th 1914 to August 28 1915", height 4". GC (small faint crack by handle)
A large presentation silver plated Britannia metal hot water jug, height 11", engraved with floral designs and cartouche on each side, one cartouche engraved with the inscription "Presented by the Roman Catholics of the 1st 19th Regt Halifax N.S. to Revd Robt Brindle as a mark of sincere respect Nov 19th 1881", with double walls, hinged flap inside the spout and large hinged lid, the base stamped "Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co, Treble Plate". GC (dent on one side, some wear to plating).Note: Rev Brindle served with the Royal Irish Regt at Mafeking and was the first Catholic chaplain to receive the pension for distinguished and meritorious service, as well as Turkish and Egyptian orders and medals.
An Imperial Turkish Gendarmerie sidearm, straight DE blade 16" retaining some original polished finish, etched at the forte E & F Horster, Solingen, and with panels of Turkish script, steel hilt with plain knucklebow, wire bound fishskin covered grip, in its plain black painted steel scabbard with associated leather frog. GC (some surface rust, leather frog AF)
An Ed VIII 1897 pattern infantry officer`s sword of the R Marines, straight, fullered blade 32½", by J Jones & Co, 33 St James Square, London, W, no 16845, faintly etched with Ed VIII cypher, crowned R Arms and "The Royal Marines" with badge, in scrolled panels, plated regulation hilt incorporating Ed VIII cypher, pommel and diced backstrap, wirebound fishskin grip, with leather knot, in its plated scabbard, in leatherette case (worn) with leather FS scabbard. Basically GC (blade worn and replated, pitting patch to scabbard)
An Indian 32 bore matchlock from Coorg, 68½" overall, barrel 53", the breech and flared octagonal muzzle attractively damascened with silver and gold decoration and with plain wooden fullstock, the fore end with hide binding for almost its entire length, swollen butt with plain WM mounts. GWO & C (some age wear and pitting to barrel)

GWO & C (plating starting to peel around grips), in its original open top leather holster (worn, originally with flap). Plate 10
A 28 bore flintlock duelling pistol by Twigg, c 1775, 15" overall, sighted octagonal barrel 10" with traces of "Twigg, London" on top flat, gold touch hole, flat stepped lock with swan neck cock, ramp on frizzen spring and roller on frizzen, the plate with second type "Twigg" signature, plain walnut fullstock with flat sided butt and shell carving behind breech tang, steel mounts, the trigger guard with acorn finial. GWO & basically GC (cock cracked, top of comb and top jaw and screw missing, some deep pitting to mounts, 2" of fore end missing) Well worthy of sympathetic restoration.
†A Belgian 6 shot 120 bore Mariette self cocking ring trigger underhammer percussion pepperbox revolver, 7" overall, turn off damascus barrels 2¾" numbered at the breeches 1 to 6, Liege proved, rounded scroll engraved frame, bag shaped butt with plain ebony grips, the inside of the butt strap stamped "Mariette Brevete".
