A Victorian silver Pocket Watch, hallmarked London, 1879, with engraved case and ornate dial, the cuvette signed "George Parsons, Old Market Street, Bristol & Geneva", 1½in (3.75cm) diameter, together with an ornate silvered metal watch chain and a presentation case printed "G. Parsons & Son, Bristol".
19th century School, Portrait of James David Gilkison (1884-1914), as a young boy dressed in sailor's uniform and seated beside a fishing creel basket, 36in x 28in (91.5cm x 71cm), framed. Note: James David Gilkison was born on 1st August 1884 at Sutton Court, Carshalton Road, Surrey. He was the younger son of Dugald Stewart Gilkison and Margaret Dunlop Gilkison (née Ralston) from Campbeltown in Argyllshire. James was educated at Shrewsbury House School, Rugby and Trinity College, Oxford, then called to the Bar in January 1906. He was gazetted 2nd Lieutenant with the Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (Princess Louise's) from the Militia, on 11th December 1907, and promoted Lieutenant on 25th March 1910. Gilkison served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders, reported wounded and missing after the Battle of Le Cateau on 26th August 1914, and was assumed to have been killed in action on that date. Captain Maclean of the Argylls wrote home to Mr Gilkison senior "Jim met his death in most gallant manner. The Regiment lost one of its best liked officers, and I a very true and valued friend in Jim".

Ephemera: Lynmouth Disaster interest; an extensive collection of black and white photographs by a good amateur photographer and resident of Lynton, Dr. M P Nightingale, taken the day after the disaster in August 1952, and following the progress of demolition and reconstruction of the town, contained within five large photograph albums, boxes, envelopes and loose. Also includes A3 size photographs from the first Fleet Street photographer on the scene, the original photographs from "Lynton & Lynmouth 'The Golden Years'", and a large quantity of contemporary newspaper cuttings. The photograph albums also contain photographs depicting family, village and working life throughout the West Country, trips to London and milestone television broadcasts circa early 1950s, together with one album of British Merchant Navy ships of the 1950s and 1960s (a lot) Note: The Lynmouth Flood occurred on the night of the 15-16 August 1952, principally affecting the village of Lynmouth, in north Devon. A storm with heavy rainfall, combined with already saturated soil and flood debris, led to the flooding of the village and a total loss of 34 lives.

Together with a smaller Schoenau & Hoffmeister Bisque Headed Doll measuring 9in (23cm) with composition body, sleeping eyes, open mouth with 2 front teeth, dressed in long white lace dress, another Bisque headed doll marked 585 on head, painted features with open mouth and 2 teeth, measuring 21in (54cm) in white lace dress and a William Goebel bisque head doll, sleeping blue eyes and open mouth. A contemporary cast silver model of a Vintage Bus, makers mark R&H, hallmarked Birmingham, 1997, formed in two pieces with the underside depicting exhaust screw fitting into body, all four wheels turning independently, the windows polished to give a reflection, 5¾in (14.5cm) long, approx weight 21.9ozt.
