A part service of Princess (variant) pattern flatware, by Elkington & Co, Birmingham 1960/61/62, comprising: six silver handled table knives with steel blades, six cheese knives, six silver fish knives, six fish forks, six table forks, six dessert forks, six soup spoons, six dessert spoons, three tablespoons, a sauce ladle, and a three piece silver handled steel bladed carving set, 87oz (55).
A mahogany double bedstead retailed by Benson`s, the panelled head and foot boards raised on square section tapering legs. W A S Benson was given a directorship of Morris & Co Decorators Ltd and for a brief time the Benson and Morris firms traded as one until 1917. This Lot is from the Hilton Hall Collection.
`Barraud & Lund, Cornhill, London, 2053`, a Victorian mahogany mantel clock, the two train fusee movement striking on a gong, five spindle finials on the gadrooned and fluted top of the case above a silvered circular dial within fretted wood spandrels, the base with cabochon and oval bands above the wavy bracket feet, inscribed on the dial and backplate, 42cm (16.5in) high.
