Sir Peter Markham Scott 1909-1989- "Wind at Dusk"; oil on canvas, signed and dated 1954, 38x45.7cm. Provenance: with Arthur Ackermann & Son Ltd., 3 Old Bond Street, London, according to label attached to the reverse of the frame. The painting was bequeathed to the sister of the current owner upon the death of the current owner`s grandfather. Peter Scott and the current owner`s grandfather became good friends during the 1950`s when they were members of the London Zoological Society together. They shared a great love for the preservation of wild life and it was the current owner`s grandfather`s special interest in birds that prompted the gift of this painting. .
