A Ptolemaic based map which clearly shows Hamarich, the capital city of the Kingdom of Prester-John. Parrots sit in trees and a large elephant occupies what is now South Africa. The River Nile runs south to north with its source shown deep in Ethiopia. A fantastic `Monoculi` sits on the coast of central west Africa.
