A Queen`s Body Guard for Scotland sash badge, cast brass gilded with green enamel backing, Victorian crown, together with a King`s Body Guard for Scotland sash badge, die-struck with gilded finish and green enamel backing, and a further gilded sash badge in the form of crossed arrows with garter, inscribed `In Peace and War`, surmounted by crown.
ATTRIBUTED TO GEORGE JAMESONE (1584-1644) Portrait miniature of a Gentleman, traditionally identified as William Murray,Colonel the 1st Earl of Dysart wearing a white lace collar, tunic and red sash, quarter-=length, oval, oil on copper 2 1/4 x 2 in (5.7 x 5.1cm) William Murray, the presumed sitter negotiated between King Charles 1 and The Covenanters. He was created Earl of Dysart in 1643 by King Charles 1 for his services to the King. He died in 1656.

French School a framed unsigned very well executed Oil painting on stretchered canvas depicting an aristocratic lady and her son under an arch at the foot of a staircase in a mansion interior, the landscape visible through an open doorway. The lady`s silk dress, her pearl necklace and a jewelled sash are remarkably well captured. A printed mark to the canvas verso reads, ``Rue de la Mich dor, No. 2 a Paris``, 14 1/4`` x 17 1/2``
A Coalport blue and white porcelain jug, probably John Rose circa 1802, the part shanked body printed with the arms of Shrewsbury Corporation and Hill, tied with a ribbon and sash marked `the Corporation and William Hill` and Latin motto to both sides below two crests, (restored) 22cm high See Messenger M., `Coalport 1795-1926`, 1995, page 62 plate 12 for a similar jug. Richmond, M.I.D., 1st Battalion, Gloucestershire Regiment, Killed in Action near La Bassee, France 25.1.1915, Comprising, japanned uniform tin, lid inscribed `H.C. Richmond, 1st Gloucestershire Regiment`, enclosing Officer`s cap, white and black with oak leaf band and embroidered regimental sphinx badge, monogrammed `H.C.R.` by Hawkes & Co, in its circular japanned tin with brass shield shape tailors plaque inscribed to the recipient; navy blue officer`s tunic, with brass regimental buttons breast with Queen`s South Africa riband bar; scarlet mess jacket, with brass regimental buttons; two pairs of trousers each with red stripe; crimson sash and cummerbund ; two pairs of officer`s spurs, sword scabbard; leather sword bag and letter dated 30.8.1905 Captain Harold Christopher Richmond M.I.D. (1880-1915), educated at Balliol College, Oxford, commissioned Lieutenant, 1900, served during the Boer War with the Gloucestershire Regiment, entitled to a Queen`s South Africa with four clasps, re-engaged during the Great War with the Regiment, In the early hours of 25.1.1915 the 3rd Brigade was warned to expect a large-scale German attack on Cuinchy and Givenchy. Both ÒAÓ and ÒDÓ Company were in the line when the attack began. At 07.35 hours Capt W K George and Capt H C Richmond of ÒDÓ Company were killed. Richmond is commemorated in the Guards Cemetery, Windy Corner, Cuinchy, France. A photograph of the recipient can be found on the internet. (-)
