A CIRCA '1867' VICTORIAN TWO PIECE SILK BUSTLE DRESS Heavy dark blue taffeta silk two piece costume, hand sewn tailored jacket with original buttons on a triple breasted front. The sleeves cut to the curve of the elbow with pretty detailing at the cuff. The seams are piped and the jacket lined with an inner belt. The skirt bustled with frills and bows fastened at the waist with poppers and hook and eye. With a purple silk sash/scarf. Waist 22". (3)

A good set, consisting of silver lace shoulder-sash with crimson stripes, lined with leather, and fringe tassels ... companion crimson leather sword-belt, the silver lace with crimson central stripe, complete with sword-slings, the circular white metal waist-plate mounted with Victorian Royal Crest in gilt metal ... and a fine sword-knot, of narrow silver lace with three crimson stripes and silver/crimson woven acorn finial. EARLY 19TH CENTURY ENGLISH SCHOOL "Young man in black coat with red sash", a miniature portrait study half-length oil on ivory, oval, unsigned, 6.5 cm x 5 cm(Provenance: the property of the Raymond Barker family late of Fairford Park Gloucestershire) CONDITION REPORTS Taken out of frame- not a complete oval. One side looks flat, some gentle light scratches to the paint, paint flaking off just to one side below the gentleman's left hand shoulder, below his red sash - appears to be unsigned. The gentleman's jacket appears green under UV light and more design is visible, especially to his arms - see images.
