A rare Red Rum public appearance sash originally the property of Noel Lemare, the tri-colour sash with gold lettering 'Tripple Grand National Winner' and dates 1973/74 & 77, made by Prestfield. Sold with a copy of 'Red Rum' 45 RPM given to the vendor by Noel, another red Rum 45 RPM and a photograph of Red Rum (4) Provenance: This sash was worn by Red Rum at public appearances and corporate events. It was given by Owner Noel Lemare to his nephew. A letter of provenance accompanies this sash. Red Rum became a national celebrity after his retirement in 1978.

A pretty 1950s sanforized cotton full-length gown by 'Cresta' in a batik style floral print in blue and white. The fitted bodice is held by two straps and at the waist is a plain blue ruched cotton sash with a large bow at the side. Two underskirts to give a full look. Garment will need a dry clean. Approximate size 10/12
An oval portrait miniature, young girl with blue sash, painted on ivory and with hair back, dated 1896, inscribed verso "Digby Richard Lawson". 70 mm x 55 mm, cased (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The portrait miniature is under glass and appears to be in very good order. There is no sign of fading and we cannot see any cracks to the ivory, the gold coloured metal frame is in good condition also. The rear of the frame is damaged in three areas to the blue oval enamelled band. There are hairline cracks which is a shame. The outer case is intact but the velvet is badly rubbed. The outer case itself is in generally good order with minor scuffs particularly to the bottom of the easel back.

Two Hussar Barrel Sashes. Rare examples. An officer’s barrel sash of crimson silk cord with five gold worked sliders and finials of crimson fringe with woven gold heads. The waist-element of narrow crimson cords contained by three rows of triple woven gold “barrels”, a double barrel at each end and an olivette at the outer end. Gold elements dull, otherwise GC ... and a Trooper’s barrel sash with red cords and woven yellow worsted sliders, barrels, toggle and acorn finials. In two places short sections of the thick cord lack their red sheathing. (2 items)

Black taffeta with pink scarf panel - good condition, back seam needs re-stitching approx. 3cm rear hem · Black taffeta cape - good condition · Cavanagh ensemble - lovely colour and shape but poor condition. All pieces have fading and are scattered with worm holes. Dress: hem is soiled and faded. 2 metal bones within bodice corset are snapped. Bodice: lacking one button, taffeta is wrinkled at inner elbows and scuffed at underarms. Faded at cuffs. Sash: colour is good, scattered with multiple worm holes. Coat: badly faded. · Satin stole - good condition · Orange dress - skirt has faint brown stains generally and pinholes to bodice · Indonesian brocaded dress - metallic threads are tarnished and rubbed in places. Faded in stripes along skirt. · Dior grey tulle - poor condition, in need of restoration. Tear to rayon inner corset, slight perspiration stains at underarms. Top layer of skirt tulle to front and sides is badly torn but back area of tulle is ok. Needs the top skirt layer of tulle replaced or restored.
