Michael Cooper - Shutters and Blinds collectors edition, first published in July 1990 by Genesis publications, in its original presentation box and numbered 2354 of 5000 copies, leather bound and signed by Peter Blake, Julie Driscoll, Jan Haworth, Harry Nilssen, Bill Wyman, Spencer Davies, Ralph Gibson, Al Kooper, Colin Self and Bo Diddley. The book and box are in superb condition. Blinds ands shutters was a ground breaking publication that became the bench mark for all such books that followed, showing an intimate glimpse at rock music through the loving lens of Michael Cooper, and with contributions from 93 figures of that incredible scene including the three then surviving Beatles and many other luminary figures.

Daphne Du Maurier original signed, type written 2 sided letter dated Mar 8th 1978, and on Kilmarth headed paper. The second of two associated letters that we are selling in this auction, the other offered as a separate lot. Letter written to an A level student looking for material for her school magazine, and designs on becoming a journalist. In response to the student's questions, this letter from Du Maurier was very personal and informative, giving a genuine insight into her work as an author. Comes with provenance in the form of a declaration from the original, now retired recipient, who achieved her dream and worked all of her life in journalism, Ms S M Gibson.

A rare Gibson Custom Shop custom order ES355, circa 1997/1998 with figured maple poplar maple laminate top, back and sides, translucent cherry finish with five-ply cream and black binding, mahogany neck with ebony fretboard, mother of pearl block markers, split diamond headstock inlay and mother of pearl Gibson decal, Grover tuners, gold plated hardware fitted with twin humbuckers and stop tailpiece, two output jack sockets for both mono and stereo, bound faux tortoiseshell pickguard, and black top hat knobs, 'Custom' branded truss rod cover, gilt Custom Shop logo to back of headstock, ink stamped serial number 79--88 to back of the headstock, and serial number B9--06 to orange interior label, fitted plush lined tan Gibson case, with original Gold Warranty paperwork. This Guitar was originally purchased on 5/4/98 at Mom's Music, Louisville Kentucky, and was one of two custom orders placed by a client, the two serial numbers date the guitar to the Nashville custom shop and 1997/1998.

GIBSON a Gibson J160E electro acoustic guitar in dark sunburst serial number 890922 circa 1969 with original fitted case The Gibson J-160E is one of the first acoustic-electric guitars produced by the Gibson Guitar Corporation. The J-160E was Gibson's second attempt at creating an acoustic-electric guitar. The basic concept behind the guitar was to fit a single-pickup into a normal-size dreadnought acoustic guitar.
