Championship Car Races at Snetterton : 19 Original, 1960/70s, larger format, coloured Posters of events featuring Formula categories, Saloon Cars, Racing cars, Club racing, Grand Touring cars & Vintage cars. Also included are posters from Silverstone & Brands Hatch. For provenance see condtition report. CONDITION REPORT: From the collection of Allen Gibson who farmed at Colesden, Bedfordshire from 1947 to 2000 and, from the mid 1950s to the early 1970s, was a keen amateur racing driver. He raced both Jaguar XK 120s and 140s before moving onto E types , including an ex-Le Mans car. He then switched to the Chevron, a purpose-built 2 litre GT, during the mid-1960’s. He finally gave up car racing in the early 1970’s in favour of twin-hulled boats, believing that water was not as hard as concrete. He was to find out that the difference at eighty or ninety miles an hour was marginal when his boat disintegrated around him during a race in Bristol docks in 1976. At that point, well into his fifties, he decided to end his racing career. Posters with folds but all generally in vg+ condition.
