A Victorian silver mounted cylindrical glass salts bottle, Gibson & Langman, London 1884, 7.5cm high, inscribed 'Marian', a mounted cut glass perfume bottle, detailed sterling silver, an oval silver and cut glass dressing table box, Chester 1921, and two Victorian electroplate bottle tags, cut-out letters 'B' & 'W' (5).
λ An early Victorian tortoiseshell work box, the hinged lid inset with a reverse glass patent pearl picture of St Paul's Cathedral attributed to Thomas Lane, titled 'SAINT PAULS', the interior with ivory edging and a lift-out tray, 11.7cm high, 27.8cm wide, 20.1cm deep. Provenance: Antigone Clarke & Joseph O'Kelly, Antique Boxes, Tea Caddies & Society, 1700-1880, 2nd Edition, p.67, fig.85. Thomas Lane (fl. c.1821-1855/6) was based at the Royal Papier-Mâché Works, 91 Great Hampton Street, Birmingham and 20 Upper Hockley Street. He is best known for his wares with designs and pictures highlighted with thin flakes of mother of pearl on the underside of the glass which he called 'patent pearl glass' although this was first patented by a Joseph Gibson.

UK Quad poster for "The Dam Busters" (1955). The poster presents a dramatic image of Guy Gibson V.C. with a Lancaster bomber overhead. The poster illustration is possibly by the Italian artist Angelo Cesselon, also responsible for the Quad for "Reach For The Sky" (1956). 'The Gibson' mandolin, with inscribed oval paper label, full length 66.5cm, length of back 36.5cm. Condition report: The soundboard has two deep gouges and further scratches and scruffs. The back is also scratched and marked. The ivory banding is loose coming away in two sections. Eight strings three of which are broken. No case. The serial number is indistinct.

John Gibson R.A. (1790 - 1866), painted plaster sculpture of a semi-clad bacchante diverting the attention of a tiger at her feet with her cymbals, signed at rear - J. Gibson 1812, on shaped socle, 65cm high x 23cm wide. John Gibson was the foremost British neoclassical sculptor of his generation. This early work was completed while he was working at the Marble Rooms established by Samuel and Thomas Francoys in Liverpool around 1802 and before he travelled to Rome in 1817 to become the protégé of Antonio Canova.
