Guy Gibson and Barnes Wallis signed Booklet the Battle of Britain August-October 1940. Gibson has signed yours sincerely Guy Gibson to the inside title page. Barnes Wallis has signed later in 1975 to the front To George. Rare autograph of one of the most famous British Military figures. Gibson was the first CO of the Royal Air Force's 617 Squadron, which he led in the Dam Busters raid (Operation Chastise) in 1943, resulting in the destruction of two large dams in the Ruhr area. He was awarded the Victoria Cross, but lost his life later in 1944. He had completed over 170 operations at the age of 24. Good condition
A George IV Silver Patent Medicine Spoon, maker's mark WB, London 1827, of typical form with a gilt interior, inscribed Charles Gibson, Inventor, 1 Bishopsgate St. Wenthian, 14cm long, 37g Marks clear to interior of spoon and inside cover. Hinge flush. Minor dent to spout of spoon, other typical surface marks. Good order. Surface scratches only.
ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL Famous four part hardback book set, published circa 1905, "Association Football and the men who made it" by Gibson and Pickford. Each cloth bound book has circa 220 pages and all aspects of the game are covered with many photographic plates. Includes Club histories, results, editorial about the Amateur, Professional and International game, likewise about the players and the chief officials and administrators of the game. The formation of the Football League and the advance of professionalism is also substantially covered. The volumes are in generally good condition and make up a fascinating read. Generally good

Marks slightly rubbed to handles of both servers. Case exterior tired, interior good.
