A Primitive Irish Co. Meath Gibson Chair. The bowed top rail and W-shaped spindle back and interlocking arm and corner spindles. The flat curved and rounded end arms supported by two short spindles adjoined to a D-shaped plank seat on stretcher-less splayed post legs. 31 ins (79 cms) high, 24 1/2 ins (62 cms) wide.

A B.E.A. in-flight London to Copenhagen luncheon menu dated 2nd May 1955 autographed by the Busby Babes, the reverse with 20 signatures comprising: Matt Busby (manager), Tom Curry (trainer), Walter Crickmer (secretary), Billy Whelan, Mark Jones, Duncan Edwards, Roger Byrne, Geoff Bent, Tommy Taylor, David Pegg, Bill Foulkes, Don Gibson, Eddie Lewis, Ray Wood, Jeff Whitefoot, Colin Webster, Albert Scanlon, Dennis Viollet, Jackie Blanchflower and Johnny Berry. The Manchester United team were travelling to Copenhagen for an end of season Scandinavian tour, where they competed in four fixtures commencing with a match against a Danish FA XI on 3rd May 1955. This was followed by two matches against a Copenhagen XI on 6th & 8th May, and the tour concluded with a match in Sweden against Gothenburg on 10th May. This menu was purchased at Sotheby's New Bond Street on 9th July 1998 as lot 506.

A mid 19th Century Oak and Mahogany cross banded 8-day Long Case Clock, J & E Gibson of Harwick, the hood with swan neck pediment over painted foliate frieze to freestanding reeded columns with cast brass mounts, over an ogee throat and plain frieze, to a shaped long trunk door, flanked by reeded quarter columns and raised on a panelled plinth base with bracket feet, to a 13" painted arched dial surmounted by a maiden in a rural landscape and further painted ruinous spandrels enclosing a Roman chapter ring with second and date subsidiaries and pierced and stamped brass hands, height 87"

Robertson, William (editor). The parliamentary records of Scotland in the General Register House 1240-1571. Provenance: From the library of The Right Hon. Sir W Gibson Craig Bart. Lord clerk Register of Scotland (1797 - 1878). Sir Gibson became an advocate in 1820 and was appointed Lord Clerk Register and Keeper of the Signet from 1862, a position he held until his death. He was made a Privy Counsellor in 1863. . Note: Only volume one of this set of records was ever published, being superseded by the Acts of parliament of Scotland in 1814. This edition was immediately suppressed after publication on account of criticism of Robertson's editorial methods. This earlier publication contains a quantity of material then excluded from the later A.P.S..
