Ru Pu (China, 1896 - 1963) Pair of Original Ink on Gold-Flecked Paper Calligraphy Scrolls. With artist's seal on left portion of scroll. Pu Ru was born in Beijing, China in 1896. Pu Hsinyu is a well-known painter and calligrapher. He was born in the royal Imperial Manchu family as the grandson of the Emperor, near the end of the Qing Dynasty. He was one of the founders for the “Song-Feng Painters Group” in 1925. Provenance: Important San Francisco California collection. Sight size: 26.5 x 3.5 in.
