A selection of Chinese porcelain comprising; an 18th century Kangxi blue and white octagonal tea caddy with later cover, 9cm high, a Republic gaiwan and saucer, decorated with calligraphy and a landscape scene, with six character mark to underside, 9cm high, a famille rose chupu and cover, 12cm high, with stand, a pedestal cup and cover, decorated with herons with sun set beyond, 10cm high and a 19th century square section powder blue brush pot, bitong, decorated in gilt depicting birds amongst trees, 13cm high (5)
Chinese early 20th century box of rectangular section with copper base, the lid with an inset porcelain panel depicting figures in a boat with a weeping willow, calligraphy and seal mark, 11.5cm x 7.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: The lot appears in mainly good original condition, the porcelain panel is loose inside the lid. There appears to be a small chip on the right hand edge c4mm x 2mm. there are some slight scratches to be surface. Edge rims and base are in generally good condition, there is wear to the base and some tiny pitted areas. There are small scratches to the sides. The interior enamel appears in good condition.

Vollkommene Wieder-Herstellung der bisher sehr in Verfall gekommenen grundlich-u. zierlichen Schreib-Kunst... gezeiget wird von Christoph Weigel, Nuremberg, [1716], etched title, [iv], 39 pages of text printed in gothic script, folding table and 59 copper engraved plates of calligraphy and penmanship, minor spotting and light soiling to margins (generally in good condition), contemporary ownership signature in brown ink to front endpaper of Sibylla Mangannsson (?), contemporary vellum-backed boards, with all-over floral patterning in gold and red, rubbed and soiled and a little wear to extremities, oblong folio (24 x 35 cm) Berlin Katalog Ornamentstichsammlung 4871. A second part was issued 20 years later in 1736, containing 66 engraved plates. (1)
Two very rare early tourist ware Palestine Christian subject olive wood carvings. Both created from whole cut sections of trunk- one showing John the Baptist, the other the Holy Grail with key and cross. Both with Hebrew calligraphy, c. 1900. Some loss of exterior bark to the larger carving.

A Japanese ivory okimono, a tutor and pupil seated at a low table, the former holding a brush and teaching the pupil calligraphy, beside the latter a teapot and cha-wan, signed Tamayuki(?) Late Meiji. Width 6cm. Condition report: The tutor left leg has been glued to his body (may have been made in two parts). Also, the left leg has two very fine cracks, one disguised in pattern on trousers.
