A FINE PAIR OF 19TH/20TH CENTURY CHINESE PURPLE GROUND EMBROIDERED SILK PANELS, circa 1900, in well carved ivory inlaid frames, each frame surmounted by a pierced and carved frieze of birds and peony centred by a shaped calligraphy cartouche, each embroidery with a garden scene of birds, branches and rockwork, each frame inlaid with extended branches of blossom and with butterflies, each 38.5in high x 18.3in wide.
