Damage to all three teapots.

An Edwardian inlaid mahogany Stationery Box, the leather lined lid fitted with letter opener, calligraphy dipper pen, and pencil holder, opening to reveal and interior fitted with letter compartments, leather blotter folder, ink well, ivorine 'slate', and two drawers, one containing seal and sealing wax, and fall front opening out as a writing slope, with tooled leather surface, side drop handles (one missing), 13in (33cm) wide.

(27.25cm.) diameter; together with a Chinese blue and white shouldered ovoid vase, probably early 20th century, decorated with dragons amidst flames, below a ruyi and pendant border, the neck with stiff leaves, four character mark to base, 12in. (30.5cm.) high, broken and glued. (2), * Condition: Drum - Good, original condition. Paper calligraphy label to underside worn and losses from one side. Vellum dirty but not damaged. Lacks four nails. Vase: Large break from lower neck through main body of vase. Large chip missing from edge of break to body, and some glaze flaking from elsewhere along break.

Caran d'Ache Hong Kong 1997 limited edition fountain pen - this magnificent pen designed by the World famous Hong Kong architect and artist Tao Ho, was made to commemorate the return of Hong Kong to Chinese Sovereignty on July 1st 1997. It glitters with Swarovski crystals and carries the message 'One Country, two Systems', in elegant Chinese calligraphy, medium 18k gold nib, limited edition 0161 of 1997
CHINESE CALLIGRAPHY AND ILLUSTRATIONS ON SILKPair of calligraphy samplers, each 9" dia. (sight), one each executed by the Chinese calligraphers HUANG ZIYUAN (1837-1918) and Li Yu. The example by Huang Ziyuan depicts a selection of fruits with flowers, and adds six lines of Chinese calligraphy, while the example by Li Yu features approximately seventeen lines of calligraphy in several groups, executing several complex and intricate characters. The verso of one frame bears the pencil inscription: "From the Tung Hoy [Viceroy to Nanking] collection procured by H. Gerry Gardner fm. director Hong Kong-Shanghai Bank 1911/1912", which dates the pieces to the late nineteenth-early twentieth century. In Chinese culture, flowers and fruits often carry symbolic meetings derived from literary sources, and representations of these span Chinese media. Each bears minor soiling and one or two small holes, not affecting the subject, else very good. Framed, untranslated by us, worthy of further research.
