Chinese famille rose porcelain snuff bottle and stopper, decorated with a female figure, flower and calligraphy, 6.5cm high, PROVENANCE: The vendor's father joined the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation in the late 1940's. He was posted to predominantly Far Eastern countries which included Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. He started collecting items of Chinese origin during the 60's and 70's. The vendor's mother worked in Shanghai in the early 1950's and had an interest in snuff bottles and between them they collected items which interested them both. Minor glaze faults. Wear to decoration. Stopper is hardstone, cork and ivory.

No West Country interest in these volumes.
