Gross weight 137.3 grams. Scratches and some dirt to the glass. Minor scratches to the dial. Three small dents and a small nick to the milled edge. Watch ticks then stops.

A 19th century French Empire bronze and ormolu mantel timepiece, modelled with a black sailor leaning against a bundle and anchor, with purse of money on top, later dial and movement, width 6.5in. height 7.25in.CONDITION: Case in reasonable order, a little dirty, ormolu still bright although a little rubbed particularly around the plinth, wirework running from the top of the anchor to the hand has come loose, movement is a pocket watch movement that winds from below, enamel dial is damaged and discoloured around 6 and 7, a later octagonal backplate has been screwed into place which does a fair job of covering the aperture, movement going but not tested for timekeeping.

Deep scratch/damage to dial near keyhole. Small chip to the dial also. Decoration a little worn in places on the case back. Watch ticks then stops. In need of some attention.
