An original WWII Second World War medal group belonging to a Phillip Davey . Comprising of his War Medal, Defence Medal, Italy Star, Africa Star (with 1st Army bar), and 39-45 Star. All with ribbons, on bar. Also included with the lot is a small photograph showing Davey and comrade, his identification tags, various cap badges, a Sweetheart type brooch (with photograph of Davey) and his military issue pocket watch (AF). Good collection. Consigned directly from the family. LATE ADDITION: 20:33 15/3/18: The vendor has also found Davey's miniature medals which have now been added to this lot.
S LICHTENSTEIN OF MANCHESTER; a late 19th century 18ct gold open faced key wind chronograph pocket watch, the circular enamel dial set with Roman numerals inscribed 'Centre Seconds', the movement inscribed with maker's name, no.45468, case hallmarked for Chester 1886 by Wickes & Trahern, diameter 5.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Dial with some marks, spots, discolouration and dirt, wear to case throughout, deep scratch to dust cover, further scratches and nicks, is not running.
THOMAS RUSSELL & SON OF LIVERPOOL; a 9ct yellow gold crown wind full hunter pocket watch, the circular dial set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, diameter 4.1cm, the Swiss movement signed and no.105458, total approx 85.4g (af). CONDITION REPORT: Wind mechanism (af), lacking glass, split to the front case and numerous dents to the case throughout, extensive wear throughout.

CONDITION REPORT: Gold watch; staining and scratches to dial, dents to case. Pocket watch; not in working order, tarnish, glass loose. Seiko; general surface wear.
A Waltham gold plated crown wind full hunter pocket watch, the circular dial set with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, diameter 3.9cm, movement signed 'AM. Watch Co' and no.16690085, engraved to front 'AE', also a further example with movement signed 'Equity Watch Co' and no.66846 (2). CONDITION REPORT: Neither are currently running.
ALEXANDER CONSTABLE OF DUNDEE; a Victorian hallmarked silver cased open face key wind pocket watch, the circular dial set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, diameter 4.1cm, the movement signed and no.13781, maker's mark CH, London 1837. CONDITION REPORT: Has not been tested and we cannot speak towards working order, the dial has surface scratches and discolouration, the case has surface wear, general wear and tear throughout commensurate with age.
PETER LITHERLAND & CO OF LIVERPOOL; a George III hallmarked silver cased pocket watch, the circular dial set with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial (af), diameter approx 4.3cm, the movement signed and no.919 with patent stamp, maker's mark TH, Chester 1789 (possibly). CONDITION REPORT: Dial has large chip and loss to the two and three o'clock area, also has an area of hairline cracks to the six o'clock area and further small cracks and discolouration, the case appears to have been gold plated at one time but this has mostly worn off although interior gilding still remains, wear and tear commensurate with age throughout to the case, movement has not been tested and we cannot guarantee working order.
