A 9 ct gold cased Rolex gentleman's pocket watch, retailed by J. Telford, Keswick, knob wind, open faced, with Arabic numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, 15 rubies, octagonal case stamped "R.W.C. Limited". Case width 42 mm, 41 grams gross (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds, adjusts and is currently ticking. It runs for between 30 seconds & a minute and then stops. Once re-shaken its starts again. The case is in generally good condition. There are some minor dints to the back and small surface scratches but no significant damage or blemishes to the corners. We can see no evidence of any repairs. The case does not appear to have ever had any inscriptions and there is no thinning. The case closes tightly and there are no knifed opening areas, cuts etc. The watch glass is loose. It is however in generally good order with only minor surface blemishes.
An 18th century silver verge pocket watch, by Thomas Lister, Halifax. Outer case diameter 5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This watch does tick when the crown wheel is rotated. It is however not running for any length of time. The outer case is in generally good condition and shuts as it should. The button to open the case does operate although it is perforated. The inner case is in generally good condition with old surface scratches and scuffs. The glass is a little scratched and has two under edge chips. The dial has a 1 cm hairline crack from the centre and several other surface scratches and scuffs but no significant damage.
An 18 ct gold gentleman's pocket watch, case Sheffield 1899, fusee movement, key wind, centre seconds. Case diameter 5.3 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The inner dust cover is 18 ct gold. The dial is in generally very good condition with only minor surface dirt. There are no hairline cracks. The seconds hand is loose. The movement does tick when the wheel is flicked. The movement does wind. The watch glass is in generally good order but is loose in its surround. The case is in very good condition. It closes as it should and there are no significant scuffs, marks or dents. Gross weight 95.6 grams.
A large English silver pair cased verge pocket watch, the case dated 1814 London. Diameter of outer case 62 mm. CONDITION REPORT: The pocket watch winds and appears to be ticking away and is ticking when shaken. The outer case is in good condition and shuts as it should. The inner case is in good order. The face is in good condition with one minor blemish to the right hand side of the numeral 3.
A 9 ct gold cased pocket watch by Record, half Hunter, knob wind, with subsidiary seconds dial. Diameter 51 mm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds and is currently ticking away. The crown does pull out but the adjusting mechanism is not operating. The dial has six hairline cracks, four from the centre and two running from the edge by the numeral 10. The inner dust cover is 9 ct gold. There are no inscriptions. The case is in generally good condition with no significant dents. It snaps shut as it should and there are no large gaps. There are some scratches around the opening lug as one would probably expect. The gross weight is 92.7 grams.

VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Externally the case has surface wear with use but no significant damage or losses, face appears good, minor flecks, but no damage.
