With a small applied Zeppelin to top. Diameter 5cm. A travellers folding hair brush fitted within a grey painted tin, the lid is embossed with an airship and open touring car, C.1910. Action AF. 10cm x 6cm. A tin for `Mico` crayons with a view of an ocean liner, an airship and a speed boat on the lid, 8cm x 5cm. A folding double mirror in leatherette case with applied Zeppelin to cover. Mirrors worn. 2 display cards of hooks and eyes by `BATO` each with a small panel featuring a Zeppelin. Some eyes missing. A good quality German produced crown wind pocket watch, cased in German silver No.71121. Fitted with a face mounted upside down to read from a hanging chain. White enamelled face with an Imperial German Zeppelin airship and ‘Eigen Tum Der Deutschen Fleigertruppe’, fitted with slender black metal hands. The back of the opening case is also marked with the winged propeller symbol and FZL markings. Size 55mm diameter, 74mm including top loop. GC Movement requires attention, some light wear/scratching to rear of case, illustrated on Plate 6.

White enamelled face with a 9ct gold case, with English hallmarks with the presentation inscription on the inner cuvette, ‘Presented by the Air Council to Arthur V. Bell H.M. Airship R33 April 16-17 1925’ This example bears the case makers mark ALD. Size 50mm diameter, 65mm including top loop. GC-VGC in good working order. Minor marks to case edge. Note: Arthur Bell, an engineer, was one of 6 who survived the R101 crash of the 5th October 1930, illustrated on Plate 6.
