The following lots are part of a collection of items relating to the Rich family.Benjamin Gray, London, a pair cased pocket watch, with white enamel dial with black Roman numeral inner chapter and arabic numeral outer chapter, blue steel beetle and poker hands, the later outer gold case, London 1808, embossed with an elaborate R.R. monogram enclosed by various trophies, the movement signed and numbered with Benjamin Gray's letter code system 'roc', the fusee movement with round baluster pillars and a finely engraved balance cock.Benjamin Gray (1676-1764) was clockmaker to George II and eventually went into partnership with his son-in-law, the very influential clockmaker, Justin Vulliamy, in 1743. Condition report: Good condition, no signs of repairs.
