Van Beenen, Amsterdam', the case by William Neale & Son Ltd, Birmingham 1918, 9cm high overall; a silver engine turned cigarette case, with gold banded decoration, Birmingham 1927, 9.5cm, another German silver cigarette case, stamped 900, and a Continental silver circular tobacco box, stamped 'silver', 7cm diameter, 11.5oz weighable. An 18ct gold hunter pocket watch, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial, to a ¾ plate keyless wind movement signed Vine & Thompson, 86 Aldersgate St, London, E.C., the case hallmarked for London 1915, movement and case numbered 39802, accompanied by an 18ct gold curb-link Albert chain with swivel clasps, suspending a T-bar stamped '9 .375', watch case diameter 5.4cm, chain length 37.5cm (2)Watch: several hairline fractures to dial, most noticeably running from central spindle towards 12/1 o'clock and to right side of subsidiary dial. Surface wear, scuffs/scratches and nicks to case, with occasional shallow dings to case sides. Patchy light wear to marks, maker's mark 'F.T'. The movement runs when wound but is untested for working order, which cannot be guaranteed. Gross weight approx. 139.8gm. Chain: general surface wear throughout, the clasps are functioning. Individual chain links and the swivel clasps are marked, with patchy wear to these marks. Maker's marks to swivels clasps are 'W.J.S'. The T-bar is signed 'CDB'. Gross weight approx. 33.4gm.
