A late 19th century yellow metal lady’s pocket watch, the case profusely engraved in a very decorative design, decoration extending to the lower half of the bow, clear dial with minimal signs of wear to the chapter ring, the centre with matting and engine turned engraving, Swiss bar movement stamper Klaftenberger, Geneva, the movement cover having the same name engraved together with serial number 3599, Watchmaker to the Queen and HRH Prince Consort, list as 157 Regent Street, London, the watch mounted on a yellow metal chain together with a sprung winding key, watch weigh approx. 14g, Loomes lists Charles Klaftenberger as working in London 1863 to 1885
