The Liberator 'Daniel O'Connell's' Timepiece [Daniel O'Connell] An important 19th Century, 18ct gold Pocket Watch, by Donegan & Wright, Dublin, numbered 693, with fusée movement. The face with decorative border, Roman numerals with central engraving of "Derrynane Abbey, Co. Kerry," home of The Liberator, hallmarked with Dublin gold marks and date, with a matching gold link chain. (2) Provenance: This Pocket Watch was personally commissioned by Daniel O'Connell from Donegan and Wright. It was subsequently gifted to the Ffrench Family, Castle Ffrench, Galway and by direct family descent for sale.
