1960s Ingersol novelty pocket watch for Eagle Comics - Jeff Arnold CONDITION REPORT Fully wound, not working but does tick when given a gentle shake. Glass / plastic is missing. Case worn and small dents commensurate with age. Some paint missing from centre of hands. Dial in reasonably good condition
The R. 101 Airship disaster - an emotive collection of personal possessions of the Second-In-Command and Navigator of the R. 101, comprising a large late 1920s portrait photograph of Squadron Leader Ernest L. Johnson, A.F.C., O.B.E. in R.N.A.S. uniform, taken beside an airship, in original glazed frame, 42cm x 25.5cm overall, a presentation oak cigarette / cigar box with nickel plated brass mounts, crowned R.N.A.S. bronzed badge to top, flanked by two hinged lids and plaque to front engraved - 'To Ernest from Phillip, Congratulations 2.11.1918' - (He was awarded the Air Force Cross on 2nd November 1918), the box 27cm wide, a silver open faced keyless pocket watch with engraved E. L. J. monogram to back of the case, a pipe and bunch of keys. On 5th October 1930, the R. 101 Airship crashed in France killing Johnson and forty-seven others
