Davis, Captain on the pair Royal Munster Fusiliers, who served in France and Gallipoli in WWI, also present is an original Mentioned in Dispatches certificate mounted on board relating to MID dated 11 December 1915 from General Sir Ian Hamilton Davis also went on to serve in WWII with the 8th Army in Africa with the RAMC, where he was mentioned in dispatches for a second time, also present is a 8 x 6 photo of Davis in WWII uniform, together with WWI miniatures and original press cuttings, a pocket watch marked GSTP T17544 Military issue face background shattered, and a glass cover for a smaller watch, Davis died 56

An 18 Carat Gold Open Faced Pocket Watch, signed Rolex, 1906, lever movement signed, enamel dial with Roman numerals, seconds dial, case with Chester hallmark for 1906, 50mm wide, with a 9 carat gold curb link chain with attached T-bar and bloodstone swivel seal 15.01.21 case with surface scratches, dial is clean, movement not working. It appears that the mainspring has broken. Total watch weight 104g. Total chain weight with seal 40.6g. Each chain link is stamped 375, chain in good condition, in my opinion the chain is rose gold. The chain will date around the same period at the watch.

Meijer identifiziert dieses Bankettstillleben anhand einer Abbildung und wofür wir danken, als eine Arbeit, die im Einfluss von Willem Claesz. Heda um ca. 1630 in Haarlem entstanden ist. Die Komposition lässt sich mit dem signierten und 1630 datierten Stillleben von Willem Claesz. Heda, heute in einer Privatsammlung, vergleichen (siehe RKD Nr. 220449). Als mögliche Autoren können Hans van Sant (um 1631–1652) oder Pieter van Berendrecht (1616–1662) genannt werden. Circle of WILLEM CLAESZ. One Pocket watch is sterling silver with the large phosphorescent numbers and trench cover that has a picture (37702 to back of the picture of a lady inside the other is ingrained with Dardanelles 1915 to back & 2301692 AC Robinson. G. G.to interior lid. All the fobs & Albert are hallmarked one of the fobs engraved with Robinson 1921. (The watches are not working)
