The field has surface scratches all over, as to be expected, and the tray would benefit from professional polishing. Stands firm on a flat surface with no wobble.

A pair of Victorian cut glass and silver salad servers, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1885, the oval bowls with shell decoration, knopped stems and cut glass handles, 29.8cm long (2)CR; Heavy chipping, abrasion and nibbling to the cut glass detail on the handles (see pictures). Heavy scratching and minor denting to the silver mounts. Stems in good order, heavy scratching, but no major denting, splitting or repair. Bowls in good order, moderate scratching wear throughout, but no signs of splitting, thinning or repair.
