He became chairman of Chelsea Football Club in 1940 and chairman of the Football Association in 1963)

Eric Clements for Mappin & Webb, a silver four piece baluster tea service, Sheffield 1961-62, facsimile signatures, Rd. nos., the tea and coffee pots with composition lobed ball finials and flying scroll handles, the tea pot 22.5cm (8 3/4in) long, the hotwater pot 19cm (7 3/4in) high, 2007g (64.55 oz) gross. Known as the Clements pattern, it was produced in both sterling silver and plate from 1960 into the 1990s.

(19cm.) long; together with a pair of late Victorian pierced oval dishes, Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co. London 1898, 6¼in. (16cm.) long; and a George V circular sugar basin and shovel form spoon, George Boot, Birmingham 1936, 3¾in. (9.5cm.) diameter, total weight 18 tr.oz. (4) * - Twin handled sugar basin: Marks clear. Good condition with no dings or dents. No repairs. - Pair dishes: Marks good - one date letter partially rubbed. Very end of rim slightly bent on one end of both dishes. No dings or dents.
