An early 20th century walnut grandmother clock, the domed hood above brass dial with 'Tempus Fugit' disc to the arch and inscribed 'Mappin & Webb' to the silvered chapter ring, pendulum present, 81.5 cm high.Condition report: The clock winds and is now running (15 minutes and counting at the time of typing this) but this is no guarantee of accuracy or reliability.The rod chimes seem to have been removed from the backboard but I checked to see if the chiming train was complete as I couldn't activate it by moving the hands through the hours and thought it was the strike silent lever but nothing seems to make the train run as it should.Update:The clock will run for a little while but then stops.

A MAPPIN & WEBB PRINCE'S PLATE COCKTAIL SHAKER AND TWO ITEMS OF SILVER (3)The cocktail shaker in an Art Deco design, with interior strainer, a silver rectangular table cigarette box, wooden lined within, the lid engine turned, the front presentation inscribed, possibly Birmingham 1937, size 16.5cm x 12.3cm and also a silver oval ashtray, having a Naval crest, Birmingham 1937, weight 73 gmsCondition Report: The cocktail shaker: Significant dent to the foot rim (see image). Dents to widest part of the body of the cocktail shaker. Wear to the silver plating to the high points of the rim. Subsequent to cataloguing when we managed to remove the top in order to catalogue the interior fitting, the top is now so firmly on that we have been unable to remove it. The cigarette box is a bit grubby inside and there is a stamp stuck in the lid. There are several dents to the exterior and also a presentation inscription. The hallmark is very rubbed. The ashtray is in fairly good condition. The maker's mark is too rubbed to read. Length of ashtray 10.8cm.

TWO SIMILAR SILVER TWIN HANDLED BOTTLE STANDS (2)Each with scroll pierced decoration, on a circular loaded base, height 16cm, by Mappin & Webb, London 1908 and 1909Top rims are a bit dented, wooden panels fitted to the bases, one with insert reading Mappin & Webb, 2 Queen Victoria Street, London EC.Hallmarks clear but differ for date, initials engraved within oval cartouches, but these differ on each stand, the bodies have a few other dents, particularly to the pierced decoration.

AN EARLY EDWARDIAN SILVER BREAKFAST DISHOf oval form, with a pivoting lid, oval drop-in liner, with fruiting vine decoration to the handles, the tapered fluted legs raised from paw feet, by Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1901, length 32cm, height 21.5cm, crest and motto engraved, gross weight 2775 gmsCondition Report: We can confirm that the drop-in liner is silverSplit either side where the screw down pivot position is within the base. There is some distortion to the base.It is possible to unscrew and remove the ivory button which has a central threaded post.Staining inside the inner drop in dish, which does not fit snugly in to position.Otherwise would benefit from careful, professional cleaning.

The maker’s mark on the cream jug has rubbed. Residue polish marks around the handles of the teapot and hot water jug. Large scratch and wear to the case; the teaspoons and sugar tongs display minor tarnishing.
