A GROUP OF PLATED WARES (6)Comprising; twelve pairs of dessert or fruit knives and forks, having mother of pearl handles, with an oak Mappin & Webb case, a three piece dessert serving set, cased, a set of twelve teaspoons with an associated pair of plated sugar tongs, cased, a twin handled soda syphon stand decorated in the Art Nouveau taste and a pair of bottle coasters with turned wooden basesCondition Report: Fruit knife blades detailed Mappin & Webb, Sheffield, London. There is no key for the boxed tea knives and forks, this box would also benefit from a wax polish. The teaspoons are marked 'F.B EPNS', please note the sugar tongs are associated and do not match for design. The plating to all pieces is in good condition. The case to the spoons is in good condition. The soda syphen stand is in good condition, there is some water staining to the wood. One handle has been bent slightly upwards. The bottle coasters have some loss of polish as a result of water staining and would benefit from a wax polish. The decoration to the borders of the bottle coasters is a bit worn with soe denting to the underside of the rims. The three piece serving set is in good condition, just a few very fine hairline scratches.
