A pair of silver plated on copper five light table candelabra, with scrolling arms, decorated borders, the central light having a detachable flame finial, by Mappin & Webb, height 55cm. Condition Report There is some glue from the replacement beize has flooded over onto the silver plating on one of the candlestick base. Both are engraved with an initial 'S' to the base and cuts through the silver plater to the copper beneath. Remains of silver cleaning deposits which need cleaning off.

JOHN SCOFIELD; a pair of George III hallmarked silver oval salts with beaded rims and raised on four scrolling shell capped legs to stepped hoof feet, London 1776, length 8cm, approx 5.97ozt/185.7g.Additional InformationNo traces of gilding remaining to the interior. The feet have slightly compressed in some areas and are showing from the inside and therefore they are not standing true in the outside - they are in curved, particularly on one. Hallmarks are clear on both, both are of good gauge with just minor pinhead sized dents. Both have a faint engraved crest of a figure holding a scythe over his shoulder. Sold with a Mappin & Webb box and with copy of valuation from Lowe & Sons of Chester.
