Coronation of King George V and Queen Mary, June 22nd 1911: A Dainty Sequin Fan, the monture of white mother of pearl, lightly clouté, the double leaf of cream gauze with some blue/grey overlay in places, the whole embroidered with sequins of differing shapes. Guard length 8 inches or 20cm. Together with a card fan box bearing the motto of the Grosvenor Hotel Victoria, London, a lion bearing a standard with the initial ''G'', and the indication that it was to commemorate the Coronation in 1911. The lid interior is stamped ''Mappin and Webb, Oxford street, London''Repairs to both guards.
