An unusual 19th century relief moulded jug in commemoration of the laying of the Atlantic Cable in 12858, the cable was laid between Valentia Island County Kerry and Trinity Bay Newfoundland, the bands on the side are meant to represent lines of the cable, Impressed No.4, 20cm high, (another example of this jug can be found in 'Jugs - A Collectors Guide' by James Paton; with a pair of silver plated Mappin & Webb sugar casters, 16cm high (3)

He also worked for the EU Monitoring Mission based in Zagreb covering Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and the Republic of Macedonia.
