A fine silver and enamel cigarette / card case - concentric guilloche ground decorated with irises in enamel (Mappin and Webb, Birmingham 1940) (8.5cm high x 7.75cm wide)Condition Report: in natural light reflecting on the enamel surface there are quite a few surface 'scratches' to be seen and indeed (under a loupe) one of these scratches has penetrated as a hairline to the vertical blue leaf on the left. Other surface scratches visible under lamp light, no major chips or restoration noted. The canted edges appear in good order as does the silver throughout. The case shuts tightly as it should and exhibits a fully hallmarked gilded interior in excellent condition. The original elasticated band also appears to be present.

Please note this means that this lot is legal to sell now but may not be in the future. CR; There is a large split to the ivory handle, extending from the tip inwards, measuring 38mm. A George V silver egg cruet, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1911, comprising four cups, each 6.2cm high, set to a circular stand raised on four feet with central handle, 15cm high, together with four spoons, one a matching silver Mappin & Webb example, and three silver plated examples, each approximately 12.5cm long, gross weight (excluding plated spoons) 15.30oztCR; No personal engravings. Please note that three of the four teaspoons are unmatched, plated examples.Hallmarks to the stand, cups and teaspoon are clear. Base in good order, no large dents, thinning, splitting or signs of repair. One foot shows heavy wear/denting, all other feet appear to be in good order. The stand does wobble on a level service. The handle is loose and requires tightening. The cups are in good order, two show some minor denting, a couple to the body and some small dents around the bases. There are no other large dents, splits of signs of repair, though all cups do show moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. The silver spoon shows some thinning and denting around the edge of the bowl, and some loss of definition, but no splits or signs of repair. The plated examples are in good order, no splitting, thinning or signs of repair.
