* Royal Welsh Agricultural Society, silver prize medal, 1926, by Elkington & Co., plain head right without legend, raised rim, rev., circular scroll inscribed THE ROYAL WELSH AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY etc., plumes and dragon, around plain field engraved TOM JAMES, CHAMPION WELSH PONY, 1926, hallmarked 1926 by Elkington & Co., 45mm (Gi. CM90), extremely fine, scarce, in fitted case; another, 1935, engraved WON BY T. YOUNG CHAMPION CHEESE 1936, hallmarked 1935 by Mappin & Webb, edge knocks, nearly very fine, rare (2) The latest specimen of this medal recorded in Giordano dates from 1929. The second example in this lot (illustrated) is particularly interesting as being a much later issue from the year of the accession and abdication.

A mixed lot of Old Sheffield plated and electroplated items, comprising: a Victorian novelty cruet set, the frame modelled as a chick standing on a basket, the salt, pepper and mustard modelled as eggs, by Mappin and Webb, plus a pair of wine coasters, gadroon borders, wooden cases, two snuffers trays and a pair of scissor snuffers. A silver pierced miniature Dish, a set of three silver Pepperettes and a matching Salt, an American silver small Tazza and a two similar Pepperettes, together with a small collection of plated Items, the miniature dish with elaborate scrolling rim and engraved foliate scroll pierced decoration on three foliate cast feet, by Mappin & Webb, London 1912-13, the pepperettes of baluster form with knopped pierced finials on pad feet and the salt of bellied form similar feet, Birmingham 1911-12, the pickle fork with mother of pearl handle, Birmingham 1903, the tazza with foliate rose border and loaded base, numbered and marked WALLACE STERLING, the two similar pepperettes with anthemion banded decoration marked GORHAM Co. SILVER , the sauce ladle with foliate handle marked STERLING, all marked , the plated items comprising a pair of dwarf candlesticks with beaded borders, a cream jug, a glass lined swing handled circular butter dish, a snuffer tray, a matchbox cover and a serving spoon (qty)" The bon bon dish, 12.5cm diameter, the pedestal bon bon dish 14.5cm diameter, 9.5cm high, the cruet set and the pepperettes 8cm high overall, the plated items of various sizes. Condition: Most items generally in good condition with a few minor dents and scratches commensurate with age, the tazza with small dents to the base, typical wear to the plated items.
