A George V silver sauce boat by Mappin & Webb Birmingham 1921, 104 grams. CONDITION REPORT: Length 13 cm, height including handle 8 cm. The sauce boat is in good structural order. We can see no evidence of any repairs or restoration. There are a few minor dents but no significant issues with the lot.
A Mappin & Webb mantle clock, with burr yew veneered case, single train movement raised on carved bracket feet. Height 15 cm, depth 8 cm, width 13 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The movement winds and the clock is currently ticking away. The silvered dial has some minor scratches to the silvering. The numerals have some black paint loss. The case itself is in generally very good order with no losses or any significant damage. The colour is good. There are no missing sections of veneer to the front or sides and only minor nibbles around the edge of the rear push in door. These are not visible with the door in position. The bracket feet are original and all present. We have the winding key.
A Mappin & Webb silver bowl, with pierced rim, Sheffield 1908, 278 grams. Diameter 25 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The bowl is in generally good order. The outer edge is in good condition all round. The fretwork is in generally good order. There is one very small section of scroll work missing due to the complexity of the pattern. This is only visible on very close inspection. There are other very small areas that are slightly bent. These are no in our opinion significant. There is no significant tarnishing and no dents.
An early 20th Century cased plated pudding set of two fruit spoons, grape snips, nutcrackers and one nut pick (one missing), a James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield oval fruit basket inset with blue jasper medallion and a Mappin & Webb Regency style plated breakfast tureen, together with a collection of various plated wares to include food dome, sauce boats, tureen etc.
A four piece silver tea and coffee service, Mappin & Webb, Sheffield 1966 & 1967, each piece of plain polished form with gadrooned rim, comprising; a coffeet pot with ebonised handle and finial, 22cm high, a teapot with ebonised handle and finial, 15.5cm high, a two handled sugar bowl, 10cm high and a cream jug, 9cm high, each raised on four compressed bun feet, total weight approx 66.3oz (4)
