COLLECTION OF THREE HACKNEY HORSE SOCIETY SILVER MEDALS makers Mappin and Webb, awarded to 24507 Glenavon Satellite of East Kilbride in 1928, 26782 Dumbreck Gold Flake of Glasgow in 1930 and 27291 Dumbreck Woodbine of Tormorden in 1938; approximately 48g each, also a pair of Icelandic Sedlabanki Islands coins and a Pobjoy Mint silver gilt coin, each in a fitted case (6) Good condition.
A matched plated part Kings pattern flatware service, mainly by Mappin & Webb:, comprising 4 serving spoons, 8 table forks, 8 dessert forks, 8 dessert spoons, 6 soup spoons, 17 teaspoons, 8 table knives, 8 dessert knives and 8 side or tea knives, other plated ware includes a pair of wine goblets, sugar scuttle, butter dish, salad servers and miscellaneous cutlery.
A 20th Century chinoiserie cased mantel clock with eight day movement striking on a gong, the circular silvered dial with Arabic numerals and inscribed `Mappin & Webb`, the domed case decorated with figures, buildings and trees, on a rectangular base and bracket feet, height approx 19cm, with a key.
Mappin & Webb - a fine and rare 18ct gold diamond set manual wind cocktail watch, the diamond set cover, in the form of a buckle with side opening to reveal the off-white dial, signed Mappin with black Arabic numerals and outer minute track, the square case no. 24779 and hallmarked, to textured 18ct brick link bracelet and clasp, width of case approx. 13mm (illustrated) NB: this watch is believed to be an exhibition piece made by Mappin & Webb, possibly as a one-off to show case their work
