An uncommon mainly Oak black lacquered Chinoiserie Secretaire Chest of Drawers, the top drawer having a fall front revealing an interior with 4 drawers and 6 pigeon holes, the top with somewhat distressed remains of scenes and figures, the drawer fronts with scenes of lake-side pavilions, trees, shrubs and aquatic birds as well as a dignitary being fanned by a servant. One drawer front features a scene with a figure on horse-back with hunting dogs whilst another has a pavilion near a rocky outcrop with figures whilst a water-bird stands at the waterside. 39 3/4" wide, 19 1/2" deep, 33 3/4" high.
