A late Georgian mahogany secretaire bookcase, with moulded cornice, glazed doors, secretaire drawer, pair of panelled cupboard doors beneath and raised on short sabre front legs. Width 47 ins. CONDITION REPORT: This bookcase is in unrestored condition. The cornice and crossbanded frieze are in good order. The glazed doors are not warped but there are losses to the glazing on both doors. There is also a damaged section of glass. The backboards are original. The sides of the top are in good order. The top of the base has some liquid staining to the centre right and various old and not so old scratches caused by moving the bookcase top. The moulded edge is in good order. The secretaire drawer is in good condition and operates as it should. The interior is fairly plain but clean. The sides of the base are in good condition. The bottom doors are not warped but part of the centre brass edging strip is missing. The turned columns are fine although the left hand one is sun bleached. The rear left hand leg is present but currently detached. The front legs are fine but have scuffs and small losses to the very ends of the feet. The two interior trays to the bottom section are present. Width across centre 46.5 ins, depth 22.5 ins, depth of bookcase top 12.75 ins, overall height 90 ins, height to top of base 42.75 ins.

A George III mahogany secretaire bookcase, with triangular pediment above a pair of glazed doors with arched wooden astragals enclosing shelves, the base with secretaire drawer above three further drawers with brass drop handles and oval backplates and raised on splayed bracket feet. Width 46 ins. CONDITION REPORT: The pediment is generally in good order with no significant issues. The glazed doors are not warped and in generally good condition also. There are no broken panes of glass and no missing astragals. The sides of the top half are both in good condition. The base is crossbanded at the edge and there are four small sections of crossbanding that have been repaired or replaced and the colour match is slightly incorrect. The top surface generally has a good colour. The secretaire drawer is in good condition as is the interior and writing surface. The drawer front operates as it should. The handles appear to be original on all drawers and the cockbeading is in good order. The feet are also in generally good condition. The sides are also in good order.

A Regency mahogany secretaire bookcase, the architectural cornice above a pair of bar glaze doors, with a secretaire drawer and a pair of panel doors below, 120 cm wide See illustration Condition report Report by RB Overall a good colour, slight warping to the glaze doors, with a couple of small sections missing to the bar-glazing, the serpentine shape moulding to the top left hand section of the secretaire drawer is detached, and incomplete, the interior has later felt lining, slight warping to the panel doors below, which enclose a shelf, and the back right hand leg is detached as the board it is on is riddled with worm and has broken off. There is a small area of loss to the back left hand section, where the bookcase is attached to the cupboard, and a split to the secretaire base on the right hand side. The Condition Report probably makes it sound and look a lot worse than what it is, 62 cm deep x 120 cm wide x 230 cm high. In two sections.
19th CENTURY FRENCH STYLE SERPENTINE SHAPED SECRETAIRE TALL CHEST OF DRAWERS having white veined marble top over foliate inlaid panels. The upper three drawer fronts opening to reveal a fitted interior and writing surface. Four further drawers below all with foliate inlaid decoration and cross banding. Similar foliate decoration and cross banding to the sides. Gilt metal mounts overall on shaped gilt metal mounted platform base. Circa 1875. 25" x 13" x 50" (64 x 33 x 127 cms)

Turned rosewood knobs with mother of pearl panels. Circa 1820. 21" x 47" x 46.5" (54 x 120 x 118 cms) CONDITION REPORT: Top is stained and rather dry in places. Splitting and missing sections of edge veneer. Hinge to secretaire fall is damaged. Overall scuffed and worn particularly to legs and lower parts. Evidence of splitting to one side panel.

Early 19th Century inlaid mahogany Secretaire chest of drawers The rectangular top with an inlaid frieze with rosewood squares against a satinwood ground, the hinged fall front with a broad crossbanded border enclosing a central cupboard door and upright slides flanked by two pigeon holes and four short drawers, the lower part with three long graduated cock beaded drawers, replaced oval urn and leaf and flower handles, flanked by herringbone inlaid panels above a shaped apron raised upon bracket feet, 113x116x54cms. CONDITION REPORT: Secretaire chest- the rectangular top extensive stress crack running along the top approximately 108cms which is 27cms from the back, inlaid frieze to front in good condition, in later upright columns good condition with the exception of a small piece of veneer missing at the bottom right just above the bracket foot, interior bright and in good condition, roundel handles replaced, minor strips of veneer missing to the top left hand edge approximately 3cmsx2cms opposite side 6cmsx2cms.
